Selene (Titan of the moon)

Selene

Well after Lethe lets go to Selene. Well for the basics Selene was the daughter of Hyperion and Theia.  She was also called Luna . Unlike her brother Helios who is one of the most flashiest titans (like father, like son) Selene prefers to be the calm and the  peaceful one. She rides on her moon chariot which is pulled by two Pegasus. Selene might be the calm type but she is known for her countless love affairs , lets hit the spotlight of her love-life....

Endymion- He was a shepherd , but a few sources say he was the king of Elis.  OK! so Endymion was a  'beautiful' mortal , who Selene fell in love with. Apparently Zeus granted him a wish and he asked for everlasting sleep  by which he would  remain  youthful. So Selene and Endymion had 50 kids! Literally 50 kids together, and one of them was the self obsessed  freak Narcissus ( the dude who got cursed for looking at his own reflection).

Selene loved many other gods like the God of Wild , Aegipan or Pan, and obviously Zeus The lord of skies. Though Selene was a titan she did not support anyone in the war between the gods and titans . Either she was too lazy or she just didn't want to get into another conflict, or maybe she wanted to carry on with her duty as day and night cannot stop.

Lethe

The goddess Lethe

Among the five main rivers of the underworld , the river Lethe always remained a mystery.
The term Lethe is a personification for - forgetfulness , oblivion or concealment. This river is known to be milky white in color. The souls which have done good deeds in their life ,, are sent to Elysium where they can drink the waters of  Lethe , forget their past lives and can be reborn with a new life. Though the Lethe's waters make you forget your memories it did not affect one person in particular whose name was-  Aethalides. He was a son of Hermes and one of the Argonauts. Though he drank from the river he was reborn as -Euphorbos, Hermotius, Pyrrhus and then the famous mathematician Pythagoras, yet he remembered his past lives.

The Lethe flow through the Underworld forming a border between the gloomy Fields of Asphodel and the Paradise Elysium. It flows along a cave where the God of Sleep - Hypnos rests. Plants like poppies grow on the banks of the river due to which the seeds of poppies cause drowsiness . The murmuring of the Lethe causes drowsiness and dizziness to a person. One drop of it can cause you a short term memory loss, one cup no way! You wont even remember your name.

Like the other rivers , even Lethe has a goddess called Lethe who is a daughter of Eris (strife) and the sister of Ponos, Limos , Algae, Hysminai , Makhai and Phonoi.
